While the Moto G6, Moto 6 Play India launch will commence on June 4 from 11.45 a.m. onwards, the event will be hosted by Manish Paul.
Lenovo-owned Motorola announced its partnership with Twitter India, on Friday, for live streaming the Moto G6 and Moto G6 Play India launch, and as part of the four hours 30 minutes live streaming, fans from around the world will be able to witness the unveiling of Motorola smartphone live via "Moto Showtime" on Twitter.
Rachna Lather, Marketing Head, Motorola Mobility India, said, "Through this partnership with Twitter India, we are going to unveil our new products -- Moto G6 and Moto G6 Play in an entertaining and engaging manner". On the other hand, people can also tweet with #Motog6 and #Motog6play in order to use the custom emoji as well as see the live stream in real-time on Twitter along with an option to participate in live conversations in a single view.

While the Moto G6, Moto 6 Play India launch will commence on June 4 from 11.45 a.m. onwards, the event will be hosted by Manish Paul and will also feature performances by several renowned artists including Raaga Trippin Acapella group, Jasleen Royal among others.
Moto G6 specifications
The Moto G6 will be launched with a 5.7-inch 18:9 Full HD+ display and will be powered by the Snapdragon 450 SoC paired with Adreno 506 GPU, 3GB/4GB of RAM along with 64GB of inbuilt storage, which can be expanded via a microSD card. The Moto G6 will also feature a 12-megapixel plus 5-megapixel camera setup at the rear coupled with a dual LED flash, 1080p video recording, and PDAF. At the front, there will be an 8-megapixel selfie shooter backed by f/2.0 aperture and soft flash. The handset will run stock Android Oreo out of the box and will also sport a fingerprint scanner embedded in the home button.
While the Moto G6 smartphone will be backed by a 3000mAh battery coupled with TurboCharge support, the smartphone will also feature a glass back along with a metal frame, similar to the more premium Moto X4. It will also have P2i water-repellent coating to protect the device from accidental water spills.
Moto 6 Play specifications
The Moto G6 Play, which will be the lower-end version of the Moto G6-series, will come with a bigger battery capacity of 4000mAh paired with TurboCharge. It will feature a 5.7-inch 18:9 HD+ display offering 720x1440 pixels resolution and will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 427 processor paired with Adreno 505 GPU, 3GB of RAM along with 32GB of inbuilt storage. For optics, the lower-end Moto G6 Play will feature a single 13-megapixel rear camera along with an 8-megapixel selfie shooter. Just like the Moto G6, it will also feature a glass back along with a metal frame as well as P2i water-repellent coating for protecting the device from accidental water spills. The fingerprint scanner will be embedded in the home button while there will be stock Android Oreo out-of-the-box as its operating system.
