Moto E5 Plus India launch set for July, confirms company

Motorola will be launching a new smartphone in India soon, and no, it's not the Moto E5 as reported previously. The Lenovo-owned smartphone maker has confirmed to launch the Moto E5 Plus in the country instead of E5. Motorola has confirmed the coming of Moto E5 Plus via an official teaser on Friday. The company, however, hasn't revealed the launch timeline of the phone. Possibilities are, the Moto E5 Plus could launch in India in the earlier next month, i.e July.
Moto E5 Plus is the successor to the last year's not so popular Moto E4 Plus. To recall, Motorola had launched the Moto E5 Plus back in April this year alongside the Moto E5 and Moto E5 Play in its home market. Going by the official teaser by Motorola about the India launch of the phone, the upcoming Moto E5 Plus will come with a massive battery and max view display, full view display in other words.
"BIG battery. BIG screen. For BIG entertainment. The #motoe5plus is on its way. Get set to say #helloentertainment! Stay tuned." Motorola writes on Twitter.
In terms of specs, the Moto E5 Plus was launched with a 6-inch 720×1440-pixel 18:9 IPS LCD screen in its home market. The smartphone comes with dual cameras on the rear and a single sensor on the front. On the back, the Moto E5 Plus sports a primary camera of 12-megapixel and secondary sensor of 5-megapixel. The rear cameras are paired with LED flash. On the front, the Moto E5 Plus includes an 8-megapixel sensor with an LED flash for better picture capture in low-light scenarios.
On the hardware front, the Moto E5 Plus is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 425. The Moto E5 Plus was launched in two RAM and storage variants, the base model with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage while the expensive version of the phone comes packed with 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The storage memory is expandable to 256GB via microSD card.
The Moto E5 Plus runs on Android 8.0 Oreo and is backed by a massive non-removable Li-Ion 5000 mAh battery. The phone also includes features like rear mounted fingerprint sensor, micro USB 2.0, dual SIM support, among others.
As far as the pricing of the phone is concerned, the Moto E5 Plus is going to be a budget segment phone, like all Motorola E-series phones. In the home market, the Moto E5 Plus was launched with a price tag of EUR 169, which roughly translates to Rs 13,500. Chances are, in India, the Moto E5 Plus may be priced around Rs 10,000
