In a new counterpoint report, it was said that with the strong sales of Reliance Geophone in India and Nokia HMD's return to market, the global feature phone market grew 38 percent in the first quarter of 2018. Nokia's share in the global feature phone market is 14 per cent, while Intel 13 per cent, Samsung 6 per cent and Techno 6 per cent.

Market research firm said in a statement: "There are still half-a-billion feature phones sold every year, whereas around the world, 2 billion feature phones are required annually, this is still a very big market, today's feature phones are preferred instead of many smartphones. We do."

In 2018, around 43% of feature phone sales worldwide sold in India. Earlier in the fourth quarter of 2017, Reliance Jio has become the number one feature phone in the country. In the fourth quarter, with the 27 per cent share of the Geo feature phones, the first company was formed.
